It is one of the most popular and often-used psalms for public worship.<\/p>\n

This week, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Even though this holiday will be different with the absence of extended family and friends, we can still be joyful and thankful.<\/p>\n

The Psalms offer help in this regard. David\u2019s poems and songs provide us with a good example to follow: remembering God\u2019s faithfulness throughout the ages, proclaiming God\u2019s glory in all of Creation, thanking God for answering personal needs and prayers, and committing to being a servant of the Lord by honoring God with everlasting praise. In Psalm 30:12, the author writes, \u201c…O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!\u201d<\/p>\n

This is also a good pattern to share with your children\u2014and if it\u2019s been a while since you\u2019ve read a psalm with them, Thanksgiving might be a great time to start.<\/p>\n
