On Sunday, April 2, the members of GracePoint Church gathered at the start of the worship service to conduct a vote on extending a call to Senior Pastor candidate, Tony Bowe. With a resoundingly positive vote of 59 affirmative, 1 negative, out of 75 members an official Letter of Call was sent to Tony on Monday, April 3. Below is his response to our call:
Elders at GracePoint Church,
It is with humility and tremendous gratitude that I accept offer to become the next senior pastor at GracePoint Church. I have reviewed the yearly compensation package and consider the terms to be generous, fair, and acceptable. I agree to the start date of July 1, 2023 as that will allow me the ability to complete my commitment teaching at 3D Training Center in Beaumont, Texas. Thank you for permitting that late start date as that will aid our transition.
My family and I are grateful for the support of the transition team, elders, and church members throughout this process. It has been evident to all of us seeing the Lord’s hand over the entire matter and are excited to partner with the believers at GracePoint in growing in faith and engaging the community with the good news of Jesus Christ.
